Thumbs up 1997 T100 Topend Veiw

Hey guys and gals, i havent been on here in a while, but figured i would share my experience with using Mobil 1 Full Synthectic Oil and regular oil changes have done to my motor in my 1997 Toyota T100 with 270K on the motor and this is the very first time the Valve Cover has ever been off of this motor(only reason it had to come off was the Valve cover seal was leaking, 270K tens to wear OEM Seals out, )

But, anywho, here are some pics i took before putting the cover back on, to show that if you take care of your car or truck it will look this good too.

thanks man, its all highway and she still purrs like a kitten. only things i have had to replace are the Starter(only because i couldnt find the parts for the starter solenoid) and had to replace the brushes in the Alternator, and the Radiator(had a crack in the plastic top, so bought the one for the V6, even has ports for oil cooler as well.)

All in all this truck has dam good to me and it also got a new set of Bosh Platinum 4 plugs, the plugs had over 100k and not a dam thing wrong with them, truck never missed or nothing, i just put new ones in just for the hell of it and kept the old ones, just in case.

1984 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci six | granny four | 3.55 rear end | 210K | Brakes shot. Rear drums are doing most of the work. Not fit to drive due to that.
1997 Ford Explorer XLT | 4.0L Vulcan V6 | 5-speed automatic | shift-on-the-fly 4WD | 210,000 miles | Running 95% - Needs brakes on all four corners + bald tires
1989 Ford F150 | 300cid six...again | 5-speed | 4x4 | 160K | Needs brakes done as well. Oi!

Mobil 1 is great oil, maybe not the absolute best though. I personally use Mobil 1 Extended Performance which is supposed to be better than the vanilla version. I suggest just going to Walmart where 5 quarts of Mobil 1 is like $25, you really can't beat that.

If you go searching around the internet, people most likely will say Amsoil is the best. The people saying that are usually the ones selling it so I wouldn't exactly trust it.

On the highway, yes. But doesn't synthetic oil build up on city miles?
