Default need some help hard wiring a wireless radar detector with a regular phone cord

Need some directions I have a solo s2 detector and want to hard wire it by using a regular phone cord, people have said they done it but couldn't find any details. I was hoping to hard wire it to my mirror instead to the fuse box.

Honestly I don't think the detector pulls enough current to where using phone cord would be detrimental to its operation.

The issue isn't the phone cord, as that's what radar detectors use as a demi-standard. The issue is the rearview mirror isn't meant for power anything other than a tiny motor to tilt it and minor circuits for any compass readout or similar.
