Question Recommendations for Ambient Lighting

I want to add ambient lighting in the foot wells of my car. Preferably orange/amber color. Does anyone have any recommendations in terms of which brand I should buy? I'm not looking to spend much on this. Also, would it be difficult to install myself? I don't really have any experience in this area. If it would be too difficult, would a normal garage install it? Any guess on how much it would cost? Thanks so much! This is for an '08 Altima Coupe.

I don't have any recommendations, but some Googling shows that you can find some kits for as little as $30-40. With some trim removal tools and some wiring materials, I don't think this would be very hard. It's just a matter of mounting the LEDs, controller, and wiring up to the appropriate power source. You'll want to look up some DIY guides which are readily available if you search around.

I'd guess a shop would charge a couple hundred for this.

I found some kits online but couldn't find any reviews on them so I wasn't sure if they were reputable. I could probably find some DIY videos on Youtube or something.

I just looked them up on Amazon. Here's a few that seem to be pretty well reviewed.

Take a look below at the customer questions & answers as well, there's one person describing the same set of experience you have asking how hard it is to install. The responder answers the question pretty well and provides some resources.
