Default How to change my gear knob?

Hey guys,

I know this is a stupid question but how do you change the gear knob on a manual car??

Does it just unscrew or what..

Its on a 98 mitsubishi lancer gli.

Is there a standard size or are they different?

Thanks Fully.

Im really not sure. Its most likely the same for many manufacturers, Do you plan on just getting an aftermarket shift knob?

any reason why you are doing this, or are you doing this just for the sake of doing it?

When you buy one, there are generally ones made for a specific car and I would get one of those just to be sure it works on your car, might not hurt to have a professional look at it and reccomend ones that will work, even if you install it yourself (should be easy but I've never done it).
