Default Problem with lights

I've got a problem with my lights. I came home today, when my back light (the one above my back seat) was on. I can't turn it back off, so I'm asking this forum for help. Is there a way for me to put this light back off? I'm talking about a light within the car, so no exterior light, to be clear, it's the light above my back seat, inside the vehicle...

Check the switches in the door jambs. If that doesnt fix it yank the bulb.

1984 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci six | granny four | 3.55 rear end | 210K | Brakes shot. Rear drums are doing most of the work. Not fit to drive due to that.

1989 Ford F150 | 300cid six...again | 5-speed | 4x4 | 160K | Needs brakes done as well. Oi!

Ok, look. I don't know what 'door jambs' are... And yanking the bulbs won't be a possible solution, since there's a plastic cover in front of the light.

I'll give you the story:
I was drunk driving up until this moment. I came home and suddenly, out of nowhere, there was a light in the back of my Mercedes CE... I tried to put it out by turning my front lights (the ones that light up the front interrior of my car) on and off. That didn't help anything. The one light in the back of my car stays on. So my question is: how in hell's name do i turn off that light in the back of my car...?

Altough, the situation might suggest otherwise, I am very serious about this. Please don't use this as a joke thread.
Thx.

as said before. check the switch on the door jamb. it is the part of the car where the hinge for the door is located. usually small and round.

or as said pull the bulb. the plastic cover should come off fairly easy as you will have to change the light at some point.

or you can look for the fuse that works the light in your fuse box

or pull the cord from your battery

Are you serious. Try reading your owners manuel for instructions. It's like getting a user guide to whats in your car. Are you could pull up to the local quick lube and ask someone to turn the switch off for you I'm sure the pimple faced kids that do your oil changes can even figure it out.
