Clarification... i meant REVISED sports car budget. "new" was in reference to my old post. I AM looking at used cars obviously.
Anyway, my budget got turned down to something around $10k. Again, it's something fun/reliable/sporty. Best ideas? I'm in the St Louis area

I like those cars, though I'm trying to get a newer car, year 2000+. Miata is do-able but not really feasable for me... looking more like a sedan.

Yeah, Impreza WRXs are awfully hard to come by sometimes, but they are definitely nice cars. Loved them for a long time, but in high demand so typically high prices, too.
It doesn't matter why I'd like a sedan haha it's what I'm looking for though.

Here's a '05 Legacy I found for 10k but the guy listed a couple mods... "Racecomp tarmac 1 coil overs" and "Poly lower control arm bushings (oem ones were prone to cracking and tearing)". This coil over has something to do with the suspension? What are these mods and why has he installed them? Perhaps you guys might know something more about them.

Coilovers are springs. Technically the whole strut as in "coil goes over (or outside) the shock", but most people refer to them just as the spring.

Okay, so does this stink burnt rice for a car I'm trying to buy? It seems like such an odd thing to "modify" instead of anything else. What about the "Poly lower control arm bushings"?
