I found this old 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 Coupe 2 door that's been parked and untouched for 5 years. I checked it out and there's no dents, and little rust, but the interior is pretty much shot; covered in dust and webs. Everything works on it and this is my dream car. The guy wants $2,000 for it. And I just don't know what the value is. I'm planning on restoring it over a few years. Any thought or opinions? Any help would be appreciated.

2 grand for a structurally sound, cancer-free, driveable '67 Galaxie 500? If you don't buy that you're daft. Jump on it. Even if the engine and/or gearbox turns out to be completely boned you still got a good deal. That car is worth close to 5 grand as-is, and a good interior would double that easily.

Thanks for the help. I'll get to it. I just had no idea what the value was. All I know is that I want it, and I'm going to get it. The car could use a lot of work, especially on the interior. My greatest fear about it is that mice made a nest in there though... Haha

2 grand is a good deal for a rust-free dent-free rolling chassis on that thing. Those are quite nice classic cars. You may end up spending quite a pretty penny getting the interior fixed up, but the price is quite good for that car.

Sounds like you found my dad lol. He has a 65 galaxy that he's had sitting down at the farm for about 5 years. The only thing he has done to it is redo the seats. He said he would sell it for 2k if someone wanted it. He would take the seats out though and put them in my stepmoms dads galaxy. Lol they have the same car sitting next to each other. They are both red but dads isn't in as good of shape.
