Question My first car

Okay so im 16 and i will be gettimg my fist car soon and i have no clue what to get i have about $4000 to get one and i was thinking sominthing like an early 2000s grand prix or something like that, my cousin has a 2004 monte carlo ss and i want to be able to atleast hang with his car if not have a better one but my dad really wants me to get somthing like a truck so it will be good on insurance so i thought about getting an s10 but i have no clue... Any help?

For that price you can probably find an S10 SS (94-98) or Xtreme (99-04), which is pretty quick for a truck. It has close to 200hp which is almost as much as the monte carlo ss.



It's a pretty good looking truck, too.

Your friend's Monti, if not supercharged, should run mid to high 15's

My stock AWD Jimmy runs 16.2

How much room is in the cab of an S10? Because i want to do the typical kid move and tint the windows and put subs in it but i dont know if they will fit or not

Their is a fair bit of room in the extended cab, enough for 2 people to sit.

Lots of room in the back of a Jimmy or Blazer.

Mine cost about $4000, but as far as just looks it could be done for $3000

As for subs, it's easy with the extended cab. It's possible you could fit one behind the passenger seat in a reg cab, but not guaranteed. For example, the 98 and newer Ranger reg cabs can fit a sub with a custom enclosure, but mine (94) has absolutely no room behind the seats, so I can't fit a sub. All I can fit back there is the emergency jack and some armor-all wipes
