Smile Best Road Trip Car

Hello, I'm new to the site and I want to know what you all think would be the best car for a cross country road trip! But here's the catch, I only want to spend $1500 on the car itself, MAX.

MPG really isn't an issue, but I LOVE driving in heavy city traffic and I would really need a quick car with good maneuverability. Ultimately, I need something that can take a beating and still deliver.

If it means anything, I love pretty much every VW ever made, and I also don't have anything against Crown Vic's.

But I just really don't wasn't an SUV or a truck.

Also, I kinda do like to stand out in a crowd.

Sorry if I'm kinda all over the place, but I cant wait to hear what you all have to say!

P71 Crown Vic
Buick Roadmaster wagon

Those two should be top on your list, no particular order. P71 will be better in some ways (namely maneuverability, as it's smaller), but the Roadmaster (I think) looks super cool and could fit ANYTHING in it, it also has the Corvette LT1 for a motor, so it'll go like hell much more than you'd expect.

We have a Buick Roadbastard. Grandmas old car and she passed like 15 years ago. I drive it every now and then. Floor it and make a little smoke. And yeah, LT1 engine for sure. I've been DYING to pull that thing out and put it in something more maneuverable.

I was gonna recommend a grand marquis or town car since you said road trips and you dont mind crown vics. The maneuvering part stops me from suggesting it. When it comes to road trips at your price range, thats all i could mention though.
