Default Another one of those threads: Helping a friend buy a car

I'm in the Austin, TX area and would hugely appreciate some help combing some listings and getting suggestions.

Budget: 3-4000
Automatic, decent looking, reliable.

Not too many constraints besides that. I'll make the usual suggestions of Civic, Accord, etc but wanted to get a few from y'all.

Sweet, got a couple of those pulled up in my area.

Thoughts on a Lexus ES300? Those seem to be relatively well liked.

My wife had an ES300, WONDERFUL car!!

Owned it 3 years, until somebody turned into it in an intersection.

Spent about a hundred bucks on it while we owned it. Valve covers leaked and needed rear sway bar bushings.

They drive beautiful and are very reliable.
