Default It's that time again gang! What's your top pick for a reliable sedan?

Hey there guys!

I find myself once again shopping for a used car. After a string of trouble prone domestic cars I've become cautious of buying another one, though I will test drive anything you recommend.

I wholeheartedly welcome your recommendations and opinions.

Purchase criteria
  • $10,000 or below
  • Must be absolutely reliable
  • Four cylinder
  • Auto or Manual; Manual preferred
  • 4 doors preferred

Thank you!

Nissan Sentra, Versa, Altima (bleh), Maxima
Toyotal Corolla, Camry
Hyundai Elantra, Sonata
Honda Civic

All can be found Under 10k, with manual trans, 2008+, many are more like 2011-2013 low miles.

Here is a quick search i did.
Used Toyota - Sedan in 35806 Area - Manual on Cars.com

We used to have a Versa, and while it is a very small car, it was actually very comfortable, even with 4 people in it. Great gas milage and never had any issues with it. The toyotas and honda need no introduction... And the newer hyundais, (2008+) are very reliable now, sharing many engines and powertrains with other auto manufacturers, and completely revamping the company, they are now a big player in quality and reliability.

Mazda3

Honestly, give one a shot though. No regrets here. A second gen should be in your budget and with the 2.5L, should be a bit quicker too.

Edit: something like this minus the slushbox... http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ra...401609326.html

Completely forgot about Mazda! They are good little cars too, the non turbo versions at least. They are always fun cars, somehow Mazda makes them a bit sportier feeling than most.

Visited a car lot today to check out a Mazda 6 and instead ended up falling in love with this silver M3 convertible. Nowhere near what I was shopping for lol.

Test drive is on for tomorrow.

Lol. Buying anything will wait until after driving a few of the cars recommended for me.

Convertibles though... For us tall guys the sky's the limit on head room.

I could be the poster child for ADHD...

On the flip side every six months or so there's a new car project at my place.
