Post Best first car?

Hey so I'm turning 16 in 3 months and my dad gave me a budget of 70K for my first car. Which is the best car I can get for that amount of money? I was thinking of a Range Rover Sport or a Porsche Boxter but feel free to suggest any other cars.

The obscene amount of money budgeted for a 16 year old's first car aside, I'd go for something nice but not too fast.

Audi A4? A5? 3 series maybe?

Get something that you can take some friends around in.

Can you give us some more details about what you're looking for? # of doors? Manual/auto? Used/new?

I'd prefer if the car was automatic and if it had 4 doors since I'd be hanging out with my friends. I really want a convertible but I don't really know of that many 4 door convertibles

there are no 4 door convertibles currently in production. iirc there has not been one since Lincoln continental in the 60s.
for 70k i'd go with range rover, mb gl, volvo xc90, bmw x5\x6. lexus gx460.

Could a vintage conti be had for 70K? Slow, but cool as hell
