Default Reliability/Longevity of LS2/3?

Hey y'all, it's been a while since I've been here but I have a few questions concerning the LS2/LS3.

So I'm going to be getting rid of my 2006 Mustang GT with 70k on it because this thing has been a handful for the year+ I've had it( got in April 2015). I've got Pypes Violater Axle-back exhaust on it, K&N CAI, and tune. But I've had to replace the tires, wheels, both camshaft sensors, alternator, then had to replace ignition coil, and a lot of other minor work. Well yesterday my head unit went out and I have no idea why. Picking up a pioneer HU and putting it in today, but having a new problem every 2 weeks has got annoying(maybe exaggerating a little) so I'm ready to move on.

*This is where the thread "starts"*
Ever since I was a little 6 year old I've wanted a Corvette and it's finally possible! So I've been looking at 05-07 C6's because I'm trying to not break 25kish. Found a 2006 with the z51 package and borla exhaust for $22k on craigslist but has 80k on the odo, 6spd manual. I've got a habit of putting no less than 12k miles on a car a year and that's if I'm lucky. I love driving simply put. Now I know every LSX engine are GREAT GREAT GREAT but how long do these things run for approx? I know there is no definite answer as it comes down to the driver but a guesstimate is nice. And please tell me that these things don't see the check engine light as much as my stang did?

I know it sounds like I'm smashing my mustang but that thing is a great car honestly. Was my first "sports" car and puts a smile on my face still when I smash it.

Thanks to everyone who helps out in advance!

BTW I'm expecting the C6 to get me 3-4 years of satisfaction before I get myself a big boy car like a ZR1 or new Z06

About as reliable as it gets. An LS2 or LS3 that's been properly maintained should have no problem doing 200k miles. They're the same basic powerplant that's in everything from Corvettes to Silverados.
