Default I need opinions

I have a 1992 honda prelude s, it has 280,000km and a new engine that only has 70,000km. I'm wondering if I should sell my prelude, which is worth about $3500 and buy this other car I found. It is a 1999 Chevy Cavalier z24 with a supercharger and all the supporting mods. It also has a completely custom interior. Castanet Classifieds - 99 supercharged cavalier z24 like it says its only worth $2700 which would give me some extra money for college. I cant afford to upgrade anything on either car. What should I do?

I say keep the Honda, you've got a good one. I would consider the Cavalier a big downgrade, supercharged or not. Doesn't look very appealing compared to a prelude. Also the cav looks like a rice rocket.

I agree with you but I'm looking for speed and performance, and at only 160hp, my prelude isnt exactly there.
Its not that I dont care about looks, but I care about performance more.

Front Wheel Drive isn't the best platform if you're looking for performance. You want rear or all wheel drive.

1985 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci OHV inline six | 4-speed OD manual | 310K | No power brakes | Running 100% - It hasn't driven this good in 15 years!

1984 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci six | granny four | 3.55 rear end | 210K | Brakes shot. Rear drums are doing most of the work. Not fit to drive due to that.
1997 Ford Explorer XLT | 4.0L Vulcan V6 | 5-speed automatic | shift-on-the-fly 4WD | 210,000 miles | Running 95% - Needs brakes on all four corners + bald tires
1989 Ford F150 | 300cid six...again | 5-speed | 4x4 | 160K | Needs brakes done as well. Oi!

See. Cavaliers are crap. Especially the one in the ad.

Sell the prelude and buy a mustang?

The fox bodies are pretty quick with a few basic mods.

Or buy a 240sx if you can find one in good shape. They are amazingly simple machines. That's why I love mine.

Swaps are very easy on the S chassis cars, and a complete 12 second SR swap can be had for under $2500.

Thanks for the input guys, and speed demon I could never buy a mustang, I rag on them too much lol And fwd I agree isnt the best platform for anything but drag racing, which is really all I can do, therefore fwd isnt that bad, only for drag racing though. My dads srt4 neon is running 9 seconds in 1/8, he hasnt been to the quarter yet though.

In what universe is FWD good for drag racing? It's bad for everything except price and snow.

uhhhh, Having drag raced in a fwd car, that's the WORST platform.

Also, my FOCUS did better than your dads SRT-4 did STOCK in the 1/4 mile... Just saying.
