Im Installing a remote engine starter on a 2005 pontiac grandam GT The schematic refers to the white wire as the tach wire. There is two white wires. How can I test if is the tach wire?

I usually find a pink wire on GM's.

If it has a single coil, use a grounded test light and probe the wires. The tach output will flash, or pulse the test light. The other one is just the 12 volt supply and it will be pretty steady.
