Default The New Ferrari F12 Berlinetta

Hey fellow car enthusiasts
I just visited the ferrari website and discovered this car called the new f12 berlinetta which is now the fastest ferrari road car ever made!

It needs a proper gearbox in it I think. It'd be perfect then.

1984 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci six | granny four | 3.55 rear end | 210K | Brakes shot. Rear drums are doing most of the work. Not fit to drive due to that.
1997 Ford Explorer XLT | 4.0L Vulcan V6 | 5-speed automatic | shift-on-the-fly 4WD | 210,000 miles | Running 95% - Needs brakes on all four corners + bald tires
1989 Ford F150 | 300cid six...again | 5-speed | 4x4 | 160K | Needs brakes done as well. Oi!

Ferrari doesn't make manuals anymore, not even an option. Stupid. I don't want a semiauto.

Gotta shift that 7-speed pretty damn fast. It's a luxury car, not meant to be driven by Americans. heh (even though I'm American, I'll say that)

What does a manual or luxury have to do with Americans?

Actually they're stereotyped as lazy SUV fanatics that wouldn't know what a clutch pedal was if you beat them over the head with one. Europe, which I might remind you Italy is part of, is faaaaar more fond of a proper manual than we are. You're hard-pressed to find a car that's auto-only there.

They are offering the flappy paddle gearbox because "LOL RACING TECH BUY NAO". It's a marketing gimmick. Flappy paddle gearboxes just don't work on the street, people order sports/super/hyper cars with them because they can brag to their neighbors/pubmates that they have racing tech in their car. Manuals are just simply better on the street, they're as smooth as the driver wants them to be, much simpler, much more reliable, and the tenth and a half less shift time the flappy paddle box gives you is lost on poor cornering skills/street tire/street conditions anyway.
