Default New to cars?

So I'm kind of new to cars. I know a few basic things here and there. Can anyone give me sort of a "car 101" type thing

Kind of a broad question, what're you wanting to learn?

I want to learn about how an older carbeurated engine works. Ive had my 1973 super beetle for a year now and i dont know much about it. My grandpa put in a new fuel line, new cylinders on the front tires, we mounted a new exhaust muffler and tips, had to weld the band that holds the generator in place and replace the belt a few times, i used to just take it to a specialty guy but i moved and would like to learn how to do things myself, my grandpa is good with cars but doesnt know **** about my engine. theres no book im gonna get one but we borrowed a friends chitlin book of models from 67 to 74 and its helpful i just wanna broaden my view a little bit.

You picked a good choice, old air cooled beetles are about as simple as it gets.

I'd purchase this book, i've heard it's about the most useful thing for working on old Volkswagens
