Default automechanic wannabe with no car

but damn id love to know everything about how a car works and how to mod. i will one day! im only just starting. dont even have my first car yet.

been doing some minor modding on my brothers VW 1500. never heard of it? yeah, not many were made. and they were only made in brazil and argentina when volkswagen bought a chrysler/dodge factory and had engines to spare, so they thought, ahhhh we'll just make a new model with em!

looks like this but in blue:

when people see it they say "wow you hardly ever see a car in this condition". its a 1988/89 that has been kept in a garage most of its life.

so yeah ill be going around the forum reading on how people fix things on their cars so i can help my chick friends have no clue and my brother (who has also no clue).

i have to fix things like windows that wont wind, boots that wont open, installing a button inside the car to open the boot, installing electric windows, installing central locking and stuff lke that. so i wanna learn how to do all that stuff.

peace.

I myself sometimes feel clueless I remember one time it took me a couple hours to just get the door panel off my 92 Cavalier to replace the window motor. I wish that car didn't have power windows, the AC didn't work and it was 92 degress outside! With the windows rolled up, 140+ maybe??

I actually thought about breaking the window Anywase, welcome to the forum.

Hola.

Probably not what you wanna hear, but 90% of what you'll learn mechanically will be hands on. You can't sit on a forum and expect to be a mechanic.
