Default Looking to fit in I guess?

I'll be honest, I joined to have some nice conversation with some decent people, but I joined a fairly popular site like this simply because honestly... I'm quite tired of my gender (and my age) getting in the way when it comes to discussing cars, especially sports cars. Although many of my friends are guys, few of them are "car guys" and too many discussions with other guys have ended in "you're a 20 year old girl, what do you know?" Or my favorite "what, did your daddy have a Porsche and now you think you know a thing about cars?"

To put it simply, I know there are lots of not-sexist guys out there into cars, and I'm willing to bet there is another female or two out there hiding as well. I just have to find them!

A little bit about myself, I also play guitar but not in a band lol I am currently studying to become a Music Therapist. I know thats a pretty obscure field so I'm happy to answer any questions about it. I have a huge love for animals, although going to school out of state, all I have right now is a hedgehog named Ppunk. I think thats it, so hello.

Welcome, welcome. You're in a bit of a minority around here, driving an import...most of us are USDM biased. Raptor and I are predominantly Ford, most of the rest are Chevy. But heh, welcome aboard anyway! We're glad to have ya.

My rigs:

1985 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci OHV inline six | 4-speed OD manual | 310K | No power brakes | Running 100% - It hasn't driven this good in 15 years!

1984 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci six | granny four | 3.55 rear end | 210K | Brakes shot. Rear drums are doing most of the work. Not fit to drive due to that.
1997 Ford Explorer XLT | 4.0L Vulcan V6 | 5-speed automatic | shift-on-the-fly 4WD | 210,000 miles | Running 95% - Needs brakes on all four corners + bald tires
1989 Ford F150 | 300cid six...again | 5-speed | 4x4 | 160K | Needs brakes done as well. Oi!

Welcome to CFN! Stick around.

Side note - my girlfriend is also a (20 year old actually) music therapy major. What school do you go to?
