Question Can't decide between two very different cars

I'm a college junior looking to commute in style and need to decide for a car looking to drive for about 6 years.
Either customizing a:
Used 2009 Mazda MAZDA3 s Touring
Price $15,490
Mileage 15,199
Body Style Hatchback
Engine 4 Cylinder
Transmission 5 Speed Manual
Drive Type 2 wheel drive - front

Or getting a:
Used 2009 Cadillac CTS 3.6
Price $16,888
Mileage 58,900
Body Style Sedan
Engine 6 Cylinder
Transmission 6 Speed Shiftable Automatic
Drive Type 2 wheel drive - rear

I can't make up my mind... I'm more into sportier cars though. Suggestions will be grateful.

I'd go with the Mazda. Cheaper, much lower miles, more reliable, more space, better fuel consumption.

I'd do the Cadillac. I mean it's a Cadillac!

Mazda. Better fuel economy, cheaper maintenance, and much much lower mileage.

So... we have a tie here. Let me throw in one more option and see if it changes anything.
2008 Acura TL Type-S
55K Miles
3.5L V6
$15k

The Caddy gets my vote.

The Acura is nice, but transmissions are expensive.

The Mazda is cheap on gas, until the engine seizes.

Definitely not the Acura. Cadillac > Mazda > Acura

Between all of those, my personal choice would be the Acura to be honest. It's the most powerful, gets better fuel economy than the CTS, and if you're lucky it's a manual which makes it fun. Though it is FWD. Great looking cars, too. Plus that's a FANTASTIC price on a Type-S, I would expect that to go for over $20k so I would be skeptical to say the least.

In the end though the most responsible and smartest choice would still be the Mazda. If you've got the extra dime to throw down on maintenance, go for the Acura.

This is all just my opinion though. You need to go drive these cars and find out for yourself which you like best.
