Default Trouble @ Arnold Clark Inverness

Had some trouble at Arnold Clark. We put our car in to get a service and MOT, they claimed the car failed due to the brake pipe so they put an new one in. It cost us 800 I nearly died and the car is only 5 years old. Once we got it back, we found that it was loosing power. I thought it was just the fluid running back through the pipes. Unfortunately the problem persisted and the car conked 2 days later. we called them, had to wait in for hours them to pick it up. Once we phoned them to see what the damage was they said and I quote "we don't know what is wrong with the car but we do know it has nothing to do with the service and MOT. there was nothing at all wrong with the car when we put it in. they changed the spark plugs and that seemed to be the problem. But they tried to charge us for the plugs which they checked in the service. they said that the plugs must have gone from the checking of the plugs to the drive home (yea right). They finally only charged us for the pick up. WHAT A CHEEK.
Anyone had similar problems?

Angry update

Ok so we had a service and an MOT at Arnold Clark. we have just noticed that our rear window wiper is hanging off. Not only is it hanging off but ther is only about an inch hanging on. I feel that they did a though job.

Arnold Clark are a big Dealership group with lots of branches all over the UK. I have read complaints about their service on other forums including one of the BMW forums I use SEE HERE

Default Arnold Clark couldnit deliver a christmas card

I myself had problems. Arnold Clark couldn't deliver a Christmas card never mind a promise

I have heard several horror stories about them. At one time there were loads of websites dedicated to the problems with them, but I think most got closed down. Here's one still running:

Well we plan to write a letter to the head office and a friend of mine who stupidly bought a car from them 4 months ago (and hasn't been away from arnold clark getting "fixed") is doing the same too. we are also taking a photo of the wiper which is hanging off after the service. we need to do something about them!!!!!!!!
