Default Hi All!

Hey guys, new member here some from OCN may recognize me, some may not, either way I love cars so I joined .

My ride:
2001 Acura TL-P with a bajillion miles on it (140k) sadly. On the bright side, its never had to have a tranny swap due to failure . Its a champ of a car I love it.

My overall interest is cars of Japanese/European origin, although I give respect to the domestics as well, I'm not a flamer that defends the imports with my life, just throwing it out there .

Anyway I look forward to posting in this forum .

Welcome! And 140k isn't bad...my car has 300k+ (if I could get my damn odometer working again, I'd let you know exactly...it died around 300k lol). If you treat it right it's got plenty of life left.

Well for this car its a lot considering most transmissions for this model didn't last past 90k.
But yeah I love it, I give it a hard time here and there when I gun it on the highway, honestly this car has taken a beating ever since it was handed over to me lol.

My Ford has 265 and it runs fine. Your Acura is probably a bit better built as far as longevity, and certainly less abused, so your car will probably double in mileage before you need to replace something major.

Nothing is that major on Hondas, LOL. Engine will run about $250 from a scrap yard, just rip it apart, throw a new head gasket and clean her up and you're golden.

An engine is a major repair, even if you only pay 250 for it.
