Default Hello folks!

Hey folks, you've probably seen me roaming around the forums for the past couple of days, making useless replies and what not. I'm afraid to say for you guys though, that i'll probably be here to stay.

I've only recently started taking interest in vehicles, considering the location i'm in it's rather necessary to get to anywhere important. I'm currently 17 attending School, and working almost full time at a local restaurant (roughly 30-34 hours a week). I live on my own at the moment, but soon i think i'm going to be moving in with my Aunt so i can save up some money to buy my first vehicle. I don't really have the funds to buy a vehicle with my current wages, while paying for an apartment. One benefit to this is that my aunt has a large double garage, as well as a large driveway. So there'd be lots of potential room to work on my car

When i do move out though, i'm going to have quite a nice bit of money to throw away (on my vehicle that is ). So once i do finally get my vehicle, i plan on tuning it up any way i can (though, not adding stupid appearance modifications like lowering it to the ground so i can't drive, or adding nonsensical spoilers to the back, more just performance tuning). That's where you folks will come in! Throughout this process, i will need help along the way i'm sure, whether it is making decisions, or how to do something. I am completely new to the world of cars, and have very little idea what i'm doing.

I was, and still am a long time member of OCN since 2005, some of you may, or may not remember me from there. It's been quite a while really since i've posted much on those forums. This is because with school and work i've been rather busy lately. However, i'm really looking forward to dedicating some time to a nice car.

I'll be getting a coupe of some sort, i've really no idea so far. Whatever i find that's best in my price range is most likely what i'll be getting. Ideally, i'd like to be able to get a Mustang, if funds permit it.

dude mustangs are AWESOME cars and tough as hell (94-04) i have a 95 v6 and it has been in a ton of wrecks and ditches and it just keeps going and my dad has a 99 gt and the 4.6L motor is super reliable he hasnt had a single problem since he bought it with 30K on the clock and it now has over 160K mi on it and still smokes the tires through 1st and 2nd

however if your going for an older mustang DONT they are money pits and would suck as a daily driver

i dont know about the current generation of mustangs besides a 2011 v6 mustang will smoke a 94-04 GT and the new 5.0 in the gt is just crazy with ~412HP

EDIT: and i dont know about canada but mustangs are a dime a dozen around here and a REALLY nice one can be had for less than 10K and good ones can be had for ~5K

Yeah, i'm looking for one in the 94-04 range, not an older or newer one. I was looking at one, a 99 for $4500, but i highly doubt it would still be available by the time i have the money together (probably june sometime, maybe august). However, it gives me a general price range of what price i can get a mustang for, it seemed to be in pretty nice shape as well.

I probably wouldn't get an older one as a main car just because i'd be using it in winter as well, not to mention i need me my Air Conditioning :P.
