Default Best Buy Mobile Installation

I got my Alpine CDA-9857 from Crutchfield today and they included all wiring harnesses and the factory antenna adapter specific to my car so when I took the radio down to Best Buy and had them install it for me, they obviously didn't charge me for any parts since I already had them all, the install took about 10 minutes and the final charge was $5.39! $5.39 to have my radio installed for me and it's insured, if anything goes wrong that's Best Buy's fault (like if they didn't wire it properly or whatever) they'll cover the cost of a new radio! Anyone considering using Best Buy to install something into their car I highly reccomend them. Also Crutchfield is awesome but sometimes they can be overpriced so be sure to shop around first.

Ya it was so cheap because you already purchased everything else where... Nice man, but i thought you were going to do it yourself!? All you needed was 2 flat head screw drivers, a philips head, and about 15minuites to spare....

Anyways... how do you like the Alpine?

I tried but BMW uses a specific type of screw to hold in the factory head unit and I obviously didn't have that, also the manual did a good job of scaring me telling me to disconnect the battery and to solder the wires together, it seemed like a hastle but the Best Buy guys were smarter than that lol.

The head unit itself is awesome, the iPod controls are a bit weird in that you use one button to choose artist and album but another button to choose the actual song, took me a few minutes to figure that out but otherwise the speakers sound WAY better than before, there is now actual bass rather than just a rattling sound lol. Also, the tweeters in my door panels are a lot clearer now, before I thought they might have been dead but now I think the factory amp was dead/dying/a piece of junk.

Again, thanks for the help pbasil, I didn't do it but if I had, I couldn't've done it without your help, lol.
