![]() Let me preference by saying I hate my car. Mechanically I want to take care of it. Physically I could care less. I'm divorced and the ex got most of the money, need I say more?
I now drive a POS 2007 Saturn Ion. The car runs fine, but is a far cry from my 2015 Mustang GT that I was forced to sell. That's life right? I want to take the car into a body/paint shop and have it sanded down, and NOT have the car painted. Does anyone know if that is street legal? Will that also "help" the car rust faster? Again, I hate the car almost to the point of resentment. I need it to run well for work. Otherwise I want it to have a 100% I don't give a ***** appearance. Any thoughts?? Thanks in advance for replies. I just want the car to look as ugly as possible while mechanically being okay. |

![]() Saturn you say? Arent the body panels almost all plastic? And no, it would not be illigal to remove the paint.

![]() lol, that is a strange desire, but if you insist, sure, sand away, if it is plastic, you do not need worry about rust. but i'm sure not all panels are plestic, for metal ones use steel wool, it should not go deep into paint, so less chances getting exposing metal.

I now live in a crappy condo with the Saturn. I hate the past 12 months, with my car being a demonstration of my frustration. Hence my desire to make it look like pure garbage. My advice to anyone, DON'T GET MARRIED!! It's antiquated and can lead to financial ruin....... |

![]() Not that. The Ion and Aura and last gen Vue finally dropped the stupid plastic body panels thing.
