Default Dealership driving me my new car, 600 miles?

Dealership is 2 hours from me in central florida, car I wanted is hard to find, 2011 kia forte SX with manual transmission. They said they all have sun roofs, so theres an extra 650 dollars but that is ok since I saved almost 3000 on a pre negotiated price through USAA.

Problem is they have none in stock of the SX manual, so they had to search, and on monday told me that the closest one in my color preference and trim preference is in Georgia, about 600 miles from there to the dealership then to me.

They are going to drive one of thier cars and do a swap.

Is this something I should be worried about? I have never bought a new car. In fact I always bought garbage used cars under 5000 dollars.

They assured me the driver is very reliable and will take great care. I am just wary (many bad used salesman experiences)

How can I check this car upon delivery to see if it was a test driver model or if the guy beat the crap out of the firs 600 miles? should i decline the sale and continue my search? Please note that I wanted the vehicle before I start school and that was on monday. The car will be at my house Thursday the 30th.

Go with it. If it's broken in transit it will be on the dealer's dime. Besides, a relaxing six hundred mile drive on the highway is going to help everything seat in properly.

1985 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci OHV inline six | 4-speed OD manual | 310K | No power brakes | Running 100% - It hasn't driven this good in 15 years!

1984 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci six | granny four | 3.55 rear end | 210K | Brakes shot. Rear drums are doing most of the work. Not fit to drive due to that.
1997 Ford Explorer XLT | 4.0L Vulcan V6 | 5-speed automatic | shift-on-the-fly 4WD | 210,000 miles | Running 95% - Needs brakes on all four corners + bald tires
1989 Ford F150 | 300cid six...again | 5-speed | 4x4 | 160K | Needs brakes done as well. Oi!

I dont think i would worry about it. As Kenny has stated, it will be broken in for you when it arrives... I would suggest changing the oil and oil filter when it arrives. IMO it will be ready for the first oil service. And for the love of god, use synthetic...for the life of the car! And a quality oil filter! K&N, Mobile 1, Wix, Purilator Pure one... etc
