![]() I'm thinking about selling my 2006 Honda Ridgeline. I live in Anchorage.
Before moving to Anchorage 3 years ago, I had my mechanic install an engine block heater. Then, 2 years ago, I had a local certified reseller install a remote start system. These two features are much loved in Anchorage (everywhere in Alaska, really). And in some parts of the state the block heater is a must-have (cars won't start without 'em). So, despite the advice that aftermarket features don't increase a vehicle's value, I still feel like these two could raise the value somewhat over Kelley Blue Book (at least in Alaska). But I can't find anything online that will help me estimate by how much. Any help? |

![]() Block heater? Probably not much. More cars than you'd think come with 'em and just don't use them.
Remote start maybe a couple hundred. Again, anything new comes with remote start.
