Default Track Day (video baby!!)

I don't see enough videos of our members out at the track driving/riding/just watching! So... I made my own =). The sound is screwed, the windows were open, but the video is good.

This was my first day on a road course in my 2009 Mustang GT/CS. It is stock other than the cold air intake and a custom programming, which when combined put it at 356 bhp ~360 lb/ft of torque. Most of the cars out there were spec miata's at about 125 bhp but they were killin me. Damn things take turns that I take at 50-60 mph at around 90-100 mph. This car is just not made for the track but man in the straight aways I murder.

The video is uploading and may take a while, it's 500MB (720p video).

Just thought I'd go ahead and make the post and then update it when the video is done uploading.

I topped out at 119 MPH (It's a road course, not a drag strip) and ran a best lap time of about 1m 15s.

LOL

I think my Blazer is limited to 100, but if it wasn't i can't see it getting past 110. The horsepower is there but so is the wind resistance

That's pretty cool man. I would love to take my little ol' Grand Prix to a track and just have fun for a couple laps.

I had an oval I could go to and race at on weekends, but it got torn up and replaced with houses. Nice sounding car though!! I had this guy in a CTS-V on the way home from my friends house want to race. I'd get up to 4K rpm's in 1st, he'd floor it and shoot past.. came up to the next light, I saw cop he didn't. he floored it, he got stopped and issued a street racing ticket.. HAHA.

2nd street racing ticket someone got for f'in with me in the last 2 months.. Worst thing the first dude was in a Rental truck

The track is soon to be torn up and re-located more north from the drag strip. If you watch the video, before I enter the first straight away there is a wall with a dodge symbol on it. If you standing and looking at the wall perpendicular to it the to your direct left would be the drag strip. They are making it larger and are gonna add rises and falls and whatnot. More like what a real road course would be like. I can't wait. It's only a 40 minute drive from my house and I know one of the board members for the track so I get to go out there any time for free.

the track and dragstrip are up in WI, I don't know if Route 66 raceway allows just anyone on the track.
