I don't think the 5.0 is released yet... Mid-summer was supposed to be the release date. I may be wrong though.

Also, by the looks of it, that's a 2010 mustang with a 5.0 badge, and bone stock, of course it wouldn't take the LS1. The LS1 has more bhp, especially if the 2010 is from the factory. Engine break in time... Put a CAI and a programmer on the Stang and do the same for the LS1 and it's a different story.

Now if that's really a 5.0, I'm calling BS on that LS1 being stock. The 5.0's come with 412 bhp.

I second Shrimpy.

It doesnt look like a 2011 first off, and second off if it was there is no way that LS1 is stock. It is also true about the engine break in time and also the driver. It looks to me like the 'stang shifted real early, he had the Camaro at the beginning.

That is the 2011 wheels and the motor under the hood said 5.0L plus the back ground story is they just picked th car up from the dealer there all friends and went to goof off. Here is a few quotes even the mustang owner says the camaro is stock.

Quote:
( "LOL That Camaro is a STOCK car with an air lid and nothing else. I raced the mustang later in my G8 and hung door to door with him. Once that motor loosens up he'll be in alot better shape, I remember LS1's picking up 30-40HP after a thousand miles or so..
vipz28 4 hours ago "

... also...

" SpeedyGonzo85 (camera guy); Keep in mind the mustang had what I was told was about a 250lb salesmen in the passenger seat. That mustang also had stock gearing and not the 3.73's everyone has seen numbers posted on in the mags"

That explains quite a bit! though I thought all the 5.0's were getting the "Track Pack" that was optional on the 2010 and earlier GT's?)
I would agree once the motor is broken in it will pick up a few pony's. Has anyone seen a Dyno sheet on these cars yet?

I don't know about that the LS series engine take to mods unbelievable a intake, exhaust, and tune on a car like mine can add a unreal amount of power compared to other manufactures.

QFT.

The new mustangs are out. I went to a GTO get together and saw a brand new 2011 5.0 convertable.

Yeah that is too a 5.0. Impressive. Not much of a pony compared to that Chevy

Let's just say this. 300bhp from the 4.6 I have, 360bhp after a CAI and a tune.

What I wanna know is why he's flogging a brand new engine like that. Let it break in a bit before you beat the living snot out of it.

1985 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci OHV inline six | 4-speed OD manual | 310K | No power brakes | Running 100% - It hasn't driven this good in 15 years!

1984 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci six | granny four | 3.55 rear end | 210K | Brakes shot. Rear drums are doing most of the work. Not fit to drive due to that.
1997 Ford Explorer XLT | 4.0L Vulcan V6 | 5-speed automatic | shift-on-the-fly 4WD | 210,000 miles | Running 95% - Needs brakes on all four corners + bald tires
1989 Ford F150 | 300cid six...again | 5-speed | 4x4 | 160K | Needs brakes done as well. Oi!
