Default Car Stalls when Turn

I have a 2001 Mazda Protege with about 85,900 miles on it.

Sometimes when I make a sharp turn, doesn't matter if left or right turn, my car stalls. It doesn't sputter, but just shuts off.

I can restart it with no problem, but it's happened about 3 times now and I'm getting worried.

What could this be?

the Power Steering Pressure Switch could be going bad.. or it could be fuel related.

I think it is somewhere in the wiring...when you make a left turn something shorts out, or creates a break, and kills the motor. I would search some Mazda forums to see if its a common problem...

When it stalls, do you see lights on the dash? Or are the lights out?

If the lights are out, then likely the ignition switch is worn and when you turn the keys swing and create a worn (dead) spot in the contacts.

With the keys in the ignition, on but not running, gently wiggle the key around and watch the dash lights. If they flicker or go out you have found your problem.

If the lights are still on the dash when it stalls, it could be the power steering pressure switch as suggested.

definetly the pressure switch is a possiability but I never seen it make a car quit when decelarating into a turn normally that doesn't take much effort from the stirring. I would look into fuel related problems I've seen incorrectly installed fuel pumps do this also pick and screens in the fuel pump do this. Has anybody done any recent repairs to the car and what? I do like the ignition switch problem I've seen that before and had it happen to me in a car plus i've seen a couple of women with ten million things on there key ring causing it to swing when turning and stopping and the wieght will actually turn the cylinder back a notch.

Reminds me of my sister's S-10 pickup she had in college. Whenever she would turn left the horn would honk.

She made a lot of new friends that way haha.
