Default Tires for Turns

What's up guys. I need a recommendation on just all around great tires for my '09 A4 2.0T Quattro. I need them to be able to take sharp turns going around 60mph. I want to take my buddies to a track and test out the true potential of Quattro engineering.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

There are tons of options... You need to decide what characteristics you really want from your tires. Sounds like its a daily driver so you wont want any track tires likely. Falken and Nitto make some great tires for street and light track use. I had the Falken FK-452 on my supra and absolutely loved them. Hankook is also making some really good mid range tires too the V12 is a popular tire choice.

I'm a huge fan of Michelin personally Pilot Sport series are some of the best you can get right now IMO. All are high performance but some have better ride quality or wear life, while others are clearly just balls to the walls street legal slicks.

I am a big fan of the Continental Extreme Contact DW tires, and Leo (l33tp1mp) on here will also agree. I have them on my 2004 Mustang GT and he has them on his 1973 240Z. They put up similar performance as the Pirelli Pzeros but for half the price. You just won't find a better deal on a dry/wet performance tire.

You guys are the greatest. @ Mike: if the tire can take a turn and last a fair amount of time (wear life), it's worth whatever the cost may be, IMO. I plan to have a WRX STI within the next 3-5 years, so this thread will be a reference when that time comes as well.
