Default Winter rims

im thinking about getting winter rims (steel) with a set of winter tires. my question is will these steel rims, which are advertise to resist salt and snow, form rust of any sort?

here is the link for the rims

my second question is (might be a nooby question) will these work with all season as well or are they specifically made for winter tires?

thanks.

Winter rims are just specially coated steelies. They may also be structurally reinforced, as ice has a habit of being hard.

ALL steel rims will, eventually, rust. Steel does that. They'll be 30+ years old before they start to rust, and 40-50+ before they rust through enough to be unsafe.

As far as tires go, they won't care. A tire is a tire as far as the rim goes. As long as it's the right size, it will fit and work.

1985 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci OHV inline six | 4-speed OD manual | 310K | No power brakes | Running 100% - It hasn't driven this good in 15 years!

1984 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci six | granny four | 3.55 rear end | 210K | Brakes shot. Rear drums are doing most of the work. Not fit to drive due to that.
1997 Ford Explorer XLT | 4.0L Vulcan V6 | 5-speed automatic | shift-on-the-fly 4WD | 210,000 miles | Running 95% - Needs brakes on all four corners + bald tires
1989 Ford F150 | 300cid six...again | 5-speed | 4x4 | 160K | Needs brakes done as well. Oi!

Yup, what Test said. Most cars come with steelies and hubcaps...and some of those cars are on the road for decades before they change the wheels. Most rims outlive the car.

Winter rim will work with any season tire as long as the size is right.
