Cool Rim tolerances? How much wiggle room?

New to the forum. I have my daughters 1998 Lumina with the following rims: 16x6.5 5x115, lug 12mmx1.5, 70.3mm, offset H. Was planning on using rims for studded snow tires. Can I use wheels of an LHS that are 16x7, 5x114.3, 71.5, offset H? Thanks for looking.

Probably. You'll be able to tell when bolting them on whether or not they'll cooperate. If you have to force them on they don't fit.

My rigs:

1985 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci OHV inline six | 4-speed OD manual | 310K | No power brakes | Running 100% - It hasn't driven this good in 15 years!

1984 Ford F150 | 4x2 | 300ci six | granny four | 3.55 rear end | 210K | Brakes shot. Rear drums are doing most of the work. Not fit to drive due to that.
1997 Ford Explorer XLT | 4.0L Vulcan V6 | 5-speed automatic | shift-on-the-fly 4WD | 210,000 miles | Running 95% - Needs brakes on all four corners + bald tires
1989 Ford F150 | 300cid six...again | 5-speed | 4x4 | 160K | Needs brakes done as well. Oi!

No where the problem comes in is when tightening the wheel down and the lugnut hits the seat it causes the stud to slightly bend and leaves it brittle and prone to break. I had a cadillac that we were replacing 3-5 wheel studs everytime we took the tires off Till we figured out it was running 5X114.3 on a 5X115 car. Also if you google it there are many class action lawsuits about this against discount tire. As a whole they have lost millions from wheel offs and car damage for doing this.

Thanks for the insight/warning. I'll wait till I find the exact fit. Appreciate real knowledge where I have little or none. Ya'll have an excellent New Year!

What is the profile you ne for your 98 chevy lumina to fit 20 rims? What size rims can a chevy lumina fit without a lift?

As far as the bolt pattern, it MUST be exact! I had a friend who used wheels that where 1mm off and over the span of a couple of months he had enough wheel studs break that he changed the wheels back to the correct bolt pattern.
