Default Turbos out there?

I know this forum is still in its early development, so there aren't many people here, but I figured I'd ask anyway.

Any other people who have turbocharged cars?

I've got a Mitsubishi Big 16G turbo in mine, good for over 300hp at the wheels. Needs a tune badly though.

Definately got a good sleeper on your hands with that Ford Escort. No one is going to expect that thing to be anywhere near that fast.

I love my Turbo charged PSD (power stroke diesel). Yes it is a truck but who cares, 325 HP and over 500 FT lbs of torque make this beast fast.

Really? awesome. My old boss just bought an 06 ram 3500 with the cummins in it.. that thing is mean. then he went and had a power chip installed in it! Lemme tell ya, for just a simple chip, its insane how it can boost by 120hp and 234ft/lbs of torque! When you stomp the gas, it peels tire, and roars massive plooms of black smoke!

He has no where to spend his money but on toys really... Hes looking into the banks power twin turbo kit... but i asked him what the hell do you need that kind of power for!? There is nothing he cant tow already! He just looked at me and lauphed.

I have sence quit that job so i dont know if he has decided to buy the kit...

You should look into a small power package and upgrade that diesel from stock! The power potential is just insane with these things! .oz for .oz diesel has more power than gasoline. Its just a matter of time before more people realize this and diesels become the norm.

Also diesel engines can take massive amounts of boost. I don't have one yet but almost all of the cars that I am looking into buying are turbos. 3000GT VR-4, 2nd generation Eclipse GSX, 300ZX, Supra, Lancer Evolution/WRX STI (If I can get some serious help from the parents).

The EVO series are by far the best bang for buck on the market! And parts are everythwere for them. AMS is a company that makesparts for evos, and they are one of the best at it... the currently sponsor a guy named "chris" and if you search of "chris's ams evo" youll find just how insane these cars can be. 44psi making 930hp! Hes done 1/4 mi runs in the mid 9's! But is having trouble keeping tracktion because the car is so light.

The evos are better than the sti's for a few reasons, and im stating this becfause im sure someone will come in and say the sti is way better because it has 20hp more..lol

The evo is lighter and has a lower center of gravity, thus allowing better handling. Also it has a 2.0 litre engine as aposed to sti 2.5... Lighter wieght and slightly better wieght distribution. Lighter means betyter breaking, while its barely a difference in tests, its still a difference. These are just a few thing i can think of that make the evo better than the sti. Oh ya, almost forgot! price! its cheaper, by a few grand!

Here is a link of some road tests, its a few yrs old, but it has an older eveo, the evo VII, but it has 700+hp and runs 0-60 in 2.79sec and tops at over 200+... there are some other cars on the vid too, the evo is one of the last cars to run, but its all fun to watch ENJOY! Also ill post some of the AMS evo's..

I completely agree with you that the Evolution is a better car. However they are really hard to find first of all because not many of them are sold each year and most of the people that buy them do not want to sell them. I have found a 2003 for $19,000 which is just out my price range but the guy seems to be in a real hurry to sell it so he would probably take less. I would really love to get an Evo. Also in response to the first video. Poor little tires what did they ever do to those car enthusiasts?
