I love all his Gymkhana videos. He is insanely good at driving. His precision and dexterity with the car amazes me.

Thats not stuff you can anticipate, that's pure instinctual skill. Athleticism at its finest.

I am sorry for playing Devil's Advocate here, but I have to admit I'm not a big fan of Ken Block myself.

I mean, it is a nice drive and quite a flashy show. It's not so much classic drifting as it is a sort of stunt driving - which by the way leaves the Ross Swift and Jr's Two Wheel Maneuver very missed.

However, though it takes a while to notice, but none of his videos actually film one, consistent session: it's a series of the best bits all edited together and there's evidence through tyre marks for quite a lot of tries and mishaps.

Even the published videos often portray him nudging cones and fences ever so slightly: I've counted at least two occasion on this one.

It's also important to grasp just how much All-Wheel Drive (not to mention suspension alignment and the lot) makes life easy when going sideways.

The torque supplied to the rear wheels keeps the slide going, but even a fraction of torque to front, keeps it from spinning, so even and especially at those huge sideslip angles, the car feels "on rails".

Is Ken Block an awesome driver? Yes. But than again, so is almost every Rally, Stunt or Drifting driver of his caliber. Not to mention that it is easier to go sideways than forward.
